What do you do on an MTEK team?

Most of the work is container unloading: containers are brought in, emptied systematically, and the goods are registered and sorted onto pallets as you go. There is also packing, picking and general warehouse work — and forklift driving for those who hold a licence.

It is physical work at a steady pace, but it is not something you need to know how to do beforehand. Most people on our teams started without warehouse experience and were trained on site.

Temp work — but with plenty of hours

You are employed as a temporary worker with MTEK. That does not mean a shift here and there: we have regular work all year round with the same customers, and our teams turn up every week.

You decide how many hours you work. If you want full-time, there is full-time. If you want a few shifts alongside studies or another job, we can do that too. We have day, evening, night and weekend shifts, and you tell us what fits your life.

Pay and conditions follow the collective agreement, and wages are paid monthly. We will tell you the exact rate when we call.

The app comes with the job

Once you are set up with us, you get access to the MTEK GROUP app for iPhone and Android. You log in with your phone number and a code sent by text — there is no password to remember. The app itself is in Danish.

You bid on shifts yourself. Open shifts appear in the app, and if you want one, you bid with a single tap. If you get the shift, it goes straight into your calendar. Change your mind, and you can withdraw the bid.

You can follow your pay as you go. The app shows your registered hours for the period, what each shift paid and which supplements were added — for example Sunday and public holiday supplements. You can also open an indicative payslip, so you know what is coming before the official one arrives from the payroll system.

And the rest of your working week. The calendar shows which days you are working and which team you are on, news from the office is in the app, and you update your own details. You get a notification when there is a new shift or a message for you.

We pay for your forklift licence

Once you have been with us for three months, we pay for your forklift licence. You do not pay anything up front, and you keep the licence afterwards — it is yours.

If you already hold a valid licence, tell us straight away. Then you can work on the jobs where forklifts are used from the start.

Transport and carpooling

You do not need your own car. We run carpooling to all four teams, and colleagues from Kolding, Vejle, Fredericia, Middelfart and South Jutland are already in the cars.

Tell us in your profile where you live, and we will sort out transport together when we call.

Safety is not a poster on the wall

We have had zero workplace accidents in 42,440 registered working hours. That number holds because people are properly trained in how to lift, sort and move around forklifts and loading docks — not because we are lucky.

You get safety equipment and a team leader who is on the floor every day and can answer when you are unsure.

What we do not offer

We do not provide housing or help finding somewhere to live. You need to live in the area already, or have your own arrangement in place.

You also need the right to work in Denmark and a Danish CPR number, or be able to get one.
